Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken

  • 1 tbsp butter or oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning

For the White Sauce

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 2 cups milk

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

For Layering

  • 9–12 lasagna sheets

  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan

  • Fresh parsley, optional

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Heat butter in a pan. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add shredded chicken, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 3–4 minutes and set aside.

  2. Make the white sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan. Whisk in flour and cook for about 1 minute. Gradually add milk while whisking continuously. Add cream, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until thick and smooth. Stir in Parmesan.

  3. Cook the lasagna sheets: Boil according to the package instructions, then drain.

  4. Layer: Spread some white sauce in a baking dish. Add lasagna sheets, chicken, white sauce, and mozzarella. Repeat the layers until everything is used.

  5. Top: Finish with white sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan.

  6. Bake: Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake another 10–15 minutes, until golden and bubbly.

  7. Rest: Let the lasagna sit for 10 minutes before slicing.

Tip: For extra creaminess, add a little mozzarella between every layer rather than only on top.
