🍖 Glazed Slow Cooker Pork Chops
Tender, juicy pork chops cooked slowly in a sweet and savory glaze. This easy recipe is perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner and pairs beautifully with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables.
Ingredients
For the Pork Chops
-
4–6 boneless or bone-in pork chops
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
½ teaspoon onion powder
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Glaze
-
½ cup honey
-
¼ cup brown sugar
-
¼ cup soy sauce
-
2 tablespoons ketchup
-
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
-
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
-
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
Optional Thickening Mixture
-
1 tablespoon cornstarch
-
2 tablespoons cold water
Instructions
1. Season the Pork Chops
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Let them sit for about 10 minutes while you prepare the glaze.
2. Make the Glaze
In a bowl, whisk together:
-
Honey
-
Brown sugar
-
Soy sauce
-
Ketchup
-
Dijon mustard
-
Apple cider vinegar
-
Minced garlic
-
Smoked paprika
-
Red pepper flakes
Mix until everything is well combined.
3. Sear the Pork Chops
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear the pork chops for about 2–3 minutes per side, just until nicely browned.
This step is optional, but it adds a delicious roasted flavor and improves the appearance of the finished dish.
4. Add Everything to the Slow Cooker
Place the pork chops in the slow cooker.
Pour the prepared glaze over the top, making sure the chops are coated as evenly as possible.
Cover with the lid.
5. Slow Cook
Cook on:
-
LOW: about 4–5 hours
-
HIGH: about 2–3 hours
Cooking time varies depending on the thickness of the pork chops and your slow cooker.
For food safety and best texture, use a meat thermometer and cook pork to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C), followed by a 3-minute rest.
6. Thicken the Glaze
If you’d like a thicker, glossy sauce, carefully remove the pork chops when they’re finished.
Pour the cooking liquid into a small saucepan.
Mix the cornstarch with cold water to make a smooth slurry. Whisk it into the sauce and simmer for 1–3 minutes, until thick and shiny.
7. Glaze the Pork Chops
Return the pork chops to the thickened sauce or spoon the glaze generously over them.
Let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
🍽️ What to Serve With It

Buttered green beans

⭐ Tips for Extra-Tender Pork Chops
-
Don’t overcook them. Pork chops can become dry if cooked far beyond their safe temperature.
-
Bone-in chops tend to stay juicier than very thin boneless chops.
-
Searing before slow cooking gives the meat more flavor.
-
For a sweeter glaze, add another tablespoon of honey.
-
For a tangier glaze, increase the apple cider vinegar slightly.
-
For a spicy version, add extra red pepper flakes or a little hot sauce.
🥄 Quick Glaze Variation
For an especially simple glaze, combine ¼ cup honey + ¼ cup soy sauce + 2 tablespoons brown sugar + 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard + 2 minced garlic cloves. Pour it over the pork chops and slow-cook as directed.
