These Tortilla Wraps with Ground Beef
These easy ground beef tortilla wraps are packed with seasoned beef, melted cheese, and fresh toppings, then toasted until crisp and golden. They make a quick lunch, dinner, or party-friendly meal.
Ingredients
450 g (1 lb) ground beef
6–8 flour tortillas
1 small onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese
1 tomato, diced
½ cup shredded lettuce
¼ cup sliced red onion
Sour cream, for serving
Salsa or hot sauce, for serving
1 tbsp oil
Instructions
Cook the beef: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook for 2–3 minutes. Add garlic and ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks.
Season: Once browned, drain excess grease if needed. Stir in paprika, chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, and tomato paste. Cook for another 2 minutes.
Fill the tortillas: Warm the tortillas briefly so they’re flexible. Add a layer of beef to each tortilla, followed by shredded cheese, tomato, lettuce, and red onion.
Fold: Fold the sides inward, then roll tightly into a wrap.
Toast: Place the wraps seam-side down in a lightly greased skillet over medium heat. Toast for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden and crispy and the cheese has melted.
Serve: Slice in half and serve with sour cream, salsa, or your favorite hot sauce.
