Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole

This bacon cheeseburger casserole combines seasoned ground beef, crispy bacon, pasta, creamy sauce, and melted cheddar cheese in one comforting baked dish.
Ingredients

1 lb (450 g) ground beef

6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped

8 oz (225 g) elbow macaroni

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup sour cream
-
½ cup milk
-
½ cup beef broth
-
2 tablespoons ketchup
-
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
-
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
½ teaspoon paprika
Method

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a casserole dish.

Cook the macaroni according to the package directions until just tender. Drain.

Cook the bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels and crumble.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the onion. Drain excess grease.

Add garlic, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook for 1–2 minutes.

Stir in the cooked macaroni, sour cream, milk, and beef broth.

Mix in about 1 cup of the cheddar cheese and half of the bacon.

Transfer everything to the casserole dish.

Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and bacon over the top.

Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until hot and bubbling.

Rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
Optional Toppings
For a true cheeseburger flavor, top individual servings with diced pickles, chopped tomatoes, onions, or a little extra ketchup and mustard.
Tip
For the creamiest casserole, don’t overcook the pasta before baking—it will continue cooking in the oven.
