Super Creamy 3-Ingredient Dessert

Prep time: 5 minutes
Chill time: 2–3 hours
Total time: About 3 hours
Servings: 4–6

This incredibly simple dessert needs just 3 ingredients and no baking. It’s rich, creamy, silky, and lightly sweet—the perfect recipe when you want something delicious with almost no effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz / 397 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy whipping cream, very cold
  • ½ cup (120 ml) fresh lemon juice

Instructions

1. Whip the cream

Pour the cold heavy cream into a large mixing bowl.

Using an electric mixer, beat on medium-high speed for 2–3 minutes, until soft peaks form.

Don’t overwhip.

2. Add the condensed milk

Pour the sweetened condensed milk into the whipped cream.

Gently fold with a spatula until mostly combined.

3. Add the lemon juice

Slowly pour in the lemon juice while gently folding.

You’ll notice the mixture quickly becomes thicker and creamier.

Continue folding until smooth and completely combined.

4. Transfer to a dish

Spoon the mixture into individual dessert glasses or one medium serving dish.

Smooth the surface with the back of a spoon.

5. Chill

Cover and refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours.

For the firmest, creamiest texture, chill overnight.

Serving Ideas

Keep it simple or decorate with:

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Lemon zest
  • Crushed cookies
  • Shaved chocolate
  • Toasted coconut
  • Fresh mint

These toppings are optional and don’t count toward the three basic ingredients.

Strawberry Version

For a fruity variation, fold ½ cup finely chopped strawberries into the finished mixture before chilling.

You can also layer the cream with sliced strawberries in dessert glasses.

Chocolate Version

Add 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder to the condensed milk before folding it into the whipped cream.

For extra chocolate flavor, add a handful of chocolate shavings on top.

Coconut Version

Replace ¼ cup of the heavy cream with ¼ cup coconut cream and sprinkle toasted coconut over the finished dessert.

Tips for the Creamiest Texture

Use very cold cream

Cold cream whips more easily and produces a thicker dessert.

Don’t overwhip

Stop once soft-to-medium peaks form. Overwhipped cream can make the finished dessert less smooth.

Add the lemon gradually

The acidity helps thicken the condensed milk and cream mixture. Add it slowly while folding.

Chill thoroughly

The dessert becomes noticeably thicker after several hours in the refrigerator.

Storage

Keep covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Individual portions can be prepared in small glasses ahead of time, making this a convenient make-ahead dessert.

Final Touch

For the simplest presentation, spoon the chilled cream into small glasses and top with fresh berries and a little lemon zest. It’s creamy, tangy, sweet, and wonderfully light despite requiring only three basic ingredients.
