Rotel Cream Cheese Sausage Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) breakfast sausage

  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened

  • 1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, well drained

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1½ cups Bisquick or another baking mix

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, combine sausage, softened cream cheese, drained Rotel, cheddar, baking mix, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  3. Mix until everything is evenly combined.

  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet.

  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the sausage is completely cooked and the outside is lightly browned.

  6. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Helpful Tip

Drain the Rotel very well. Too much liquid can make the sausage balls soft and difficult to shape.

Serve warm as an appetizer or party snack with ranch dressing, sour cream, or your favorite dipping sauce.
