4-Ingredient Brown Sugar Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 4 boneless or bone-in pork chops
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Make the topping: In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, melted butter, and garlic powder.
- Prepare the pork chops: Place the pork chops in the baking dish. Spoon the brown sugar mixture evenly over the tops, spreading it across the meat.
- Bake: Bake for about 20–25 minutes, depending on the thickness of the chops. Pork should reach 145°F (63°C) in the center.
- Rest and serve: Let the pork chops rest for about 3 minutes before serving. The brown sugar and butter create a sweet, savory glaze while the pork stays tender.
Tip: If your pork chops are very thick, they may need additional cooking time. Use a meat thermometer rather than relying only on the cooking time.
