What’s the Small Round Hole on Your Nail Clipper For?
That little round hole near the end of many nail clippers often looks like it must have a special purpose. In most traditional nail clippers, however, it is mainly part of the lever and manufacturing design, rather than a secret tool.
1. It Helps With the Lever Mechanism
The hole is associated with the metal lever that pivots against the clipper body. The lever provides the leverage needed to bring the cutting edges together with relatively little effort.
2. It Can Be Used to Hang the Clipper
On some designs, the opening also makes it convenient to hang or attach the nail clipper to a small hook, key ring, or grooming kit.
