Low-Point Yogurt Ice Cream in Just 2 Minutes

A creamy, refreshing frozen treat made with yogurt and simple ingredients, ready in just minutes.
It’s light, satisfying, and easy to customize with your favorite fruit or low-calorie toppings.

Prep Time: 2 minutes
Freeze Time: None
Total Time: 2 minutes
Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (225 g) nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup (150 g) frozen berries or frozen fruit
  • 1–2 tbsp zero-calorie sweetener, to taste
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1–2 tbsp unsweetened almond milk, only if needed

Instructions

1. Add the ingredients

Place the frozen fruit, Greek yogurt, sweetener, and vanilla into a high-powered blender or food processor.

2. Blend

Blend on high for 1–2 minutes, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides.

The mixture should become thick, smooth, and creamy.

3. Adjust the consistency

If the mixture is too thick for your blender, add the almond milk 1 tablespoon at a time.

Don’t add too much—the goal is a thick, ice-cream-like consistency.

4. Serve immediately

Spoon the mixture into bowls and enjoy right away for a soft-serve texture.

For a firmer consistency, transfer it to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 20–30 minutes.

Flavor Variations

Strawberry Cheesecake

Use frozen strawberries and add:

  • 1 tbsp light cream cheese
  • A few crushed graham crackers

Chocolate

Use frozen banana instead of berries and add:

  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp vanilla

Blueberry Lemon

Use frozen blueberries and add:

  • 1 tsp fresh lemon zest
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Peanut Butter

Use frozen banana and add:

  • 1 tbsp powdered peanut butter
  • Pinch of salt

Tips for Creamy Yogurt Ice Cream

  • Use Greek yogurt for a thicker, creamier texture.
  • Make sure the fruit is fully frozen.
  • Start with very little liquid—you can always add more.
  • A food processor often works better than a low-powered blender for very thick mixtures.
  • Taste before serving and adjust the sweetness.

Storage

For the best texture, enjoy immediately or within a few hours.

If frozen for longer, allow it to sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before scooping, since homemade yogurt ice cream becomes quite firm when fully frozen.

Best Finish

Top your yogurt ice cream with fresh berries, a sprinkle of sugar-free chocolate chips, or a little drizzle of peanut butter for a quick dessert that feels indulgent while staying light.
