🫐 Blueberry Spinach Smoothie

A refreshing, creamy smoothie packed with blueberries, spinach, and protein. It’s an easy breakfast or snack that takes just a few minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

  • 1 cup fresh baby spinach

  • 1 banana

  • ¾ cup plain Greek yogurt

  • ¾–1 cup milk or unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or ground flaxseed

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 4–5 ice cubes, if using fresh blueberries

  • 1 teaspoon honey, optional

Instructions

1. Add the Ingredients

Place the milk, spinach, blueberries, banana, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, and vanilla into a blender.

2. Blend

Blend on high for 45–60 seconds, or until completely smooth.

If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more milk.

3. Taste and Adjust

Taste before adding sweetener—the banana and blueberries may provide enough sweetness.

Add a teaspoon of honey if desired and blend briefly again.

4. Serve

Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.

💙 Easy Variations

  • More protein: Add a scoop of plain or vanilla protein powder.

  • More fiber: Add 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed.

  • Creamier: Use frozen banana.

  • Dairy-free: Use plant-based yogurt and unsweetened almond, soy, or oat milk.

  • Extra refreshing: Add a few mint leaves.

⭐ Tip

If you’re new to green smoothies, baby spinach is ideal because its mild flavor blends easily with sweet fruit. Frozen blueberries and banana also give the smoothie a thick, cold texture without needing much ice.
